The ED Directory About Me Healthy Recipes Low Cal Snacks Miracle Noodle Recipes Some of my Piano Performances Progress Photos
Just like recipes page, I’ll be adding to this one all the time! (Recipes page requires cooking, and most snacks here don’t.) These are the snacks that I eat on a regular basis, so I won’t just copy and paste other people’s hard work!
Source 0% fat yogurts, 100g = 35 cals
Small bag of beef jerky = 100 cals (usually I divide them in half, so 50 cals for half a bag, lots of protein)
Fat free, sugar free jello = 5 cals
Mott Fruitsations (I like apple/pomegranate) - 50 cals each
Weight Watchers bread = 45 cals per slice
Laughing Cow Lite Cheese = 45 cals per two pieces
Kosher Dill Pickles = says 0 cals on the jar, but probably something like 1 or 2
Kale Chips = 60 cals for 1/4 of a large bag (healthy, too!)
Special K snack bars = 90 each
SmartPop Popcorn = 100 cals per bag, takes forever to eat, can divide in half easily, or share with a friend, bf, gf, etc
Make “fake” sushi rolls - nori seaweed, add cucumber slices, oor a tiny piece of laughing cow lite cheese, small piece of avocado, red pepper, anything really! Nori seaweed sheets are about 5 calories each.
Lite Tofu (this should be cooked, added to stir fries, etc) = about 35 cals per 1/4 package
If you HAVE to have chips (or crisps in the UK), and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop you, at least pick the healthier option! Kettle Brand Baked Lightly Salted with 60% less fat = about 140 calories per bag
Del Monte Superfruit Mixed Fruit Chunks (it has pears, peaches, fruit juice, etc) = 70 cals per fruit cup
Hummus! I LOVE Hummus! Best with celery, cucumber, other veggies! Fat brand is Sabra, super creamy, but same in calories as other brands = about 70 cals per 2 tablespoons
Pomegranate! One whole pomegranate is about 100-105 cals, but I always cut them in half. They’re a pain in the butt to eat, since they have so many tiny seeds, so I eat it seed by seed while watching tv, for example. They’re super healthy, and also a diuretic, to help get rid of some of that stubborn water weight. So, half a pomegranate = 50-52.5 cals!
Rice crackers - the kind I buy come in dozens of flavours, and they are only 90 cals for TEN crackers. Yum. They’re light and airy, and pretty low in carbs, too.
I love extra lean rosemary ham - 70 cals for 2 giant slices, and I usuall only eat 1 slice at a time, so a good 35 cal snack with lots of protein in it that will satisfy your salty and “meaty” craving!
Personally, my favourite snack in general is 100 g of Source 0% fat yogurt (natural flavour) and a handful of blueberries, about 50 cals and so healthy and sooo yummy!
